Fully Integrated Production Facility

Jenvisen Limited operates a complete, vertically integrated metallic bottle top manufacturing facility in the Luzira Industrial Area of Kampala, Uganda.

Every stage of production — from raw material inspection to printing, pressing, lining, quality control and packing — takes place inside our factory. This means full control over quality, lead times, and costs.

Our high-speed press lines run at 1,200 strokes per minute. Our in-house lithography plant prints on pre-cut steel sheets with up to 6-color precision. Our automated inspection systems guarantee zero defective caps reach our customers.

Step by Step

The Manufacturing Process

Eight precision-controlled stages turn raw steel into a perfect metallic bottle top.

01

Raw Material Receiving

Food-grade tin-plate steel coils arrive from certified suppliers. Each batch is inspected for coating weight, hardness, and dimensional accuracy before being accepted into the production store.

02

Sheet Cutting

Steel coils are precision-cut into flat sheets of the exact size required for the lithography printing process. Sheet thickness is verified at this stage.

03

Lithography Printing

Flat steel sheets are fed through our offset lithography printing press. Up to 6 spot or process colors are applied in sequence. UV varnish is applied on the final pass and oven-cured for durability and gloss.

04

Sheet Inspection

Every printed sheet is visually and optically inspected before proceeding to pressing. Any sheet with color misregistration, coating defects, or dimensional issues is removed from the batch.

05

Cap Pressing

Inspected printed sheets are fed into our high-speed rotary presses which stamp out individual bottle tops at 1,200 strokes per minute. The press simultaneously forms the flute (corrugated edge) of each cap.

06

Compound Lining

Each pressed cap passes through our compound lining machine where a precise measured amount of food-safe PVC or PU compound is applied to the inner face. The compound forms the seal that prevents gas and liquid escape when the cap is applied to a bottle.

07

Quality Inspection

Lined caps pass through automated optical inspection equipment which checks for dimensional accuracy, lining integrity, printing consistency, and cap geometry. Any defective cap is ejected from the line automatically.

08

Counting & Packing

Approved caps are automatically counted and packed into export cartons in lots of 1,000, 2,500, or 5,000 caps. Cartons are sealed, labeled with batch codes, and palletized ready for dispatch.

Quality Assurance

Raw Material Testing

Every incoming steel coil batch is tested for tin coating weight, base metal hardness, and dimensional tolerances before entering production.

Optical Inspection

Automated cameras inspect every cap for printing errors, flute geometry defects, and lining coverage. Defective caps are automatically rejected.

Seal Testing

Sample caps from each production batch are tested on actual bottles using standard bottle cappers to verify seal integrity and closure torque.

Batch Certification

Every dispatch is accompanied by a batch certificate confirming it has passed all internal quality standards and is compliant with EAC and UNBS specifications.
